Sitio Weddings and Events was born of dream to bring people together to celebrate with friendly company, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. Located on the Hammarlund Landscape Nursery property, which has been around since 1957, Sitio shares their appreciation for our native landscape. Sitio’s logo has an upside down triangle with a line through it which is the alchemist symbol for the element EARTH.
With ducks, chickens, four ponds, a vineyard, a field of hemp, a greenhouse full of heirloom tomatoes, and a new performing stage; Hammarlund’s property had evolved from beyond it’s original intent. When Sitio Wedding + Events was taking shape, owner, Ken Hammarlund, was reminded of the Portuguese phrase for “small farm” or “ranch”; sÃtio. Ken has personal ties to this regions lifestyle and was immediately drawn to this name.
